TICKET TO RIDE: MARKLIN EDITION

Ticket to Ride - Märklin Edition is the third installment in Days of Wonder's best-selling boardgame series that has won 14 international game awards, including the prestigious Spiel des Jahres. The boardmap for the Märklin Edition is based on a map of Germany and introduces a new gameplay element where players can use passengers to pick up merchandise worth different numbers of points along the routes that they claim. However, the game will remain as simple to learn and teach as the previous versions.

Those of you who know the train hobby are likely to be familiar with the Märklin name. This German company has been around for over 140 years and is the world's leader in the miniature train hobby. The Märklin Edition of Ticket to Ride marries the best of the model train and board gaming worlds. Each train card in this edition will feature a different image (118 in all) of a Märklin model train car or locomotive.

The first two editions of the game - Ticket to Ride and Ticket to Ride Europe have sold nearly 500,000 copies worldwide.
